It is the largest field boulder in Latvia and natural site of the state significance. It is deeply in the forest, about 6 km to the East from Nycgalė railway station. The boulder measurements are as follows: length – 10.5 m, width –10.4 m, size – 31.1 m, overground area – 170 sq. m. in 1938 the Nycgalė forest ranger ordered to grind 3 steps in the boulder. Trippers’ heels clip-clop into them up till now. In the 18 and 19 cent. a table and chairs were put onto the flat surface of the boulder. In those times hunters used to gather here, dances were organized, and “Lyguo” (Midsummer Day) - the longest year day celebration was celebrated in this place.
