The park of Counts Plāters

The creation of a very first park of Krāslava began in the middle of 18th century near the Plāters' library building. This Baroque style garden, similar to Riga Tzasr's garden, was referred to as a public garden available to all free citizens. At that time, it was an important and very progressive implementation. Part of the old Baroque park called "linden - tree garden" is still preserved as well as of the grottos with an "underground passage" and the lion statue guarding the palace, is well – preserved and accessible to residents and tourists.
