Museum
The enthusiasts of Daugavpils Chess and Checkers Museum have studied and compiled information about the history of chess in Daugavpils and Latgale Region from the 19th century up to the present day. All these information is available in Daugavpils Chess and Checkers Museum that is the first museum of its kind in Latvia.
Visitors of the museum can get acquainted with the outstanding chess players of Latvia and all the world, everyone can learn the rules of the games and get information about these sports from various newspaper articles and books. There are many cups, prizes and gifts gained by Daugavpils chess players and also 100 years ago published training materials that can be used today.
